#ecoconciouscrafting-jiffy bag

   Upcycling a jiffy bag

Morning morning! It's that time again.

The ecoconcious blog hop is back! This morning I'd like to share an old jiffy bag I cut to size and upcycled. This jiffy bag once held a gift I had purchased for a friend. Before throwing it away I thought of ways I could upcycle it so it can be used once again. I trimmed it to the size I wanted, heat embossed and die cut a floral image out of the new 'prized peony' stamp set, added a sentiment and a few pearls and this is the end result. Cute right?  This jiffy bag will be used for cards I am currently working on to ensure all the little pieces do not get lost. If you have a jiffy bag around why not try this idea.😊

I'm off to start the roast as the in-laws will be round soon.
Enjoy the rest of your sunday!

Lots of love

relaxation

Today you will find me in the garden admiring our greenhouse whilst mini me sits beside me drawing a section of our rockery.

Were so lucky to have a garden, and this year weve added a new addition. The new addition being the greenhouse. I've always enjoyed gardening. There's something about sowing seeds, pricking out vegetable plants youve grown yourself, being out in the fresh air, feeling the grass between your toes, listening to the birds, the water fountains and the bugs humming in the longer grass. It's just so relaxing and tranquil.

On my to do list today is:
*Pricking out the tomatoe plants and replanting them into a bigger pots

*Labelling some seeds I potted last weekend

*General pruning

*Cooking a roast

Do you have a garden? If so what do you love about it?
If you don't have a garden, where do you go to have your outdoors space?

Enjoy your Sunday in the sunshine.

father's day

So father's Day has been and gone, BUT I just had to share with you the little containers I decorated for the gents at work. This father's Day has been very weird for the gents due to covid. Normally we have lots of friends and family in and out all day with cards, gifts, kisses and cuddles but 2020 has been some what ...... Odd.

So as a little gift from us as a team to them, I upcycled our raspberry containers. We filled them with old fashioned hard boiled sweets. Needless to say THEY LOVED THEM!
Look around your home and try to find containers to upcycle in the future. After all we need to look after our planet.

                      Enjoy your afternoon

πŸ’œMeπŸ’œ

I struggled silently, I struggled then and I struggle now. We all struggle just in different ways and at different times. I learned that for me, medication wasn't what I wanted.... So I stopped. Instead I found therapy in creating things or going for long interrupted walks, listening to music or simply reading a book.
I made a promise to myself to never go back to those darker days. I promised to look after myself more. I promised myself to go with the flow and acknowledge if I'm not feeling '100% myself'. I promised to relax and stay true to myself. I promised and vowed to love myself. It doesn't happen over night. It may take months or it may take years, but I now know who I am.

I'm Nikki, a mother to one and a partner to the most amazing man on this earth. We have a dog who we treat like another child and we live for our family time. I love paper crafts , music, reading, long walks and gardening. That is me. I suffer with postnatal depression. I cry at things I have no understanding as to why but that's part of me. I'm loved and I love in return. I like things organized and structured. I rush all the boring daily tasks to ensure I have enough time in the evenings with my family. That is me.

πŸ’œThis is me, all of meπŸ’œ
                     πŸ’œI love being meπŸ’œ

If you have Amazon music download 'yoga relaxation waves' to help relax and clear your mind.

A little gesture during lockdown πŸ₯°

Good evening all, hope your all well and staying safe.

I just wanted to stop by and post something I have participated in recently.

A post popped up on a group I'm part of on Facebook, asking if people could kindly send a handmade birthday card to a mature lady who lives alone and has been in lockdown due to covid. I immediately replied asking for an address for this lady and look at the outcome. 😍

We should all try and make special occasions cards and post them rather than a quick txt or social media posts, it just means so much more and it's so personalised. Why not try this whilst were all still in lockdown, im sure the receiver will have a smile on their face 😊.

πŸŒž   Enjoy the rest of your evening  🌞

#ecoconsciouscrafting

Here's another one of our eco conscious blog hops.

I was given this glass jar a few years ago as a Christmas present, it was filled with lots of wonderful sweeties which might I add didn't last long πŸ˜‰.

The stamp set used is called bloom and grow with a little shimmery crystal effects.

eco Easter blog hop

Morning morning everyone!

So today over on our eco conscious crafting Facebook group it's all about EASTER!

I'm going to show you a little project that I created a few weeks back and it's using one of stampin up embellishment pots and the new stamp called 'welcome easter'. I used 3 stampin blends to colour my little bunny in and heat embossed with gold.

Do you have any plans for today? Sundays for us are all about being with family. The weather is warm and sunny here in Hampshire so we're in the garden making our very own coconut bird feeders and a bit of colouring whilst led on the sun loungers.

             πŸ¦☀️Happy Sunday everyone☀️🐦
